App 03 · Export Centre & Backup

Your whole business,
locked in a file.

Back up everything to a single encrypted file — books, invoices, staff, files and all — sealed with a passphrase only you know. Move to a new phone, restore in minutes, and keep a recovery key for the day you forget. No cloud account, no servers, no one else holding your data.

Real encryption, not a promise

Sealed so tightly,
even we can't open it.

Your backup is encrypted on the phone with a passphrase you choose. We never see it, and there's no account to hack — because there's no server. Lose the passphrase and the file stays shut; that's the point.

  • 01
    AES-256-GCM
Authenticated encryption — the same standard banks and governments use. The built-in tag also detects if a file's been tampered with.
  • 02
    scrypt key hardening
Your passphrase is stretched with scrypt (~32 MB work factor), so brute-forcing the file offline is punishingly slow.
  • 03
    Preview before you unlock
A backup shows its contents — how many entries, invoices, files — before you type the passphrase, so you always restore the right one.
Restore on a new phone
1
Open the backup file
Pick the .json from Files, email or a USB drive.
2
Check the preview
See what's inside before committing — counts, date, shop.
3
Enter the passphrase
Everything unpacks — books, files and all — exactly as it was.
Keep your recovery key safe — it's your way back in if a passphrase is ever forgotten.
What the Export Centre gives you

Yours to keep,
yours to move.

One-file backup

Every module — daily book, invoices, staff, files, lists — sealed into a single encrypted file you control.

Restore anywhere

New phone, factory reset, switched from iPhone to Android — open the file, enter the passphrase, you're back.

Recovery key

A one-time key you save somewhere safe — your backstop if a passphrase is ever forgotten.

No cloud, no account

Nothing is uploaded. There's no server to breach — the file lives where you put it.

Tamper-evident

The encryption's built-in check means a corrupted or altered file is caught on restore — not quietly loaded.

Recycle bin & period close

Deleted records rest in a recycle bin before they're gone, and you can lock a period so closed months stay put.
